We are growing rapidly, and need enthusiastic, knowledgeable and reliable repair mechanics who can travel to our customer job sites for auto repairs while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
● Travel to customer’s preferred location by their appointment time and perform complete and accurate diagnosis of mechanical breakdowns and/or repair vehicles in accordance with factory standards
● Travel to various warehouses to collect parts and tools for jobs and arrive at customer job sites to perform the job in accordance with the quoted timeframe.
● Document all work performed and communicate updates in preferred customer relationship management application
● Inspect engines, transmissions and perform diagnostic test to identify issues
● Perform thorough maintenance on customer vehicles
● Replenish fluids and components on engines
● Accurately consult with customers regarding corrective and preventative measures for their vehicle
● Provide customers with status updates for their vehicle
● Maintain a clean workspace and/or thoroughly clean up job sites prior to leaving
● Collect payment on completed jobs and provide customers with receipts
● If necessary, perform verification drive on vehicle to ensure repairs were correctly completed
● Other job responsibilities as assigned
The role may require evening, weekend, and on-call work availability.
What you must have
● 1-3 years’ experience performing domestic and/or international vehicle repairs and maintenance or, graduation from an automotive program within the last 3 years
● Excellent customer service and communication skill sets with attention to detailed work
● Ability to follow procedures, diagnostic reports and repair instructions
● Valid Driver’s License without recent infractions on motor vehicle record*
● Diagnostic tool and reliable mobile device
● Knowledge in machinery and hydraulic and electrical systems
*Pre-Employment Driver Motor Vehicle and Background Check will be required
What we’d like you to have
● Ability to upsell additional services
● Own a set of tools and diagnostic equipment
● Working knowledge of OSHA right-to-know and hazardous waste disposal
● Diesel or electric auto repair experience a plus
